People can learn more about Sarah's House during an open house from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Dec. 12. The public can tour the facility, enjoy refreshments, drop off holiday donations and meet its guests, staff and childcare professionals.
The facility at 2015 20th St. on Fort George G. Meade provides emergency shelter for as many as 66 people and transitional housing for up to 22 families. It operates as a supportive housing program for homeless families providing much more than just a safe place to sleep.
