Summary


The county's Office of Planning and Zoning estimates that about 40,000 county building permits are issued every year, out of which only about 50 are later revoked.

That's an error rate of one out of 800, which is pretty good for anything done by government. But it also means that about 50 county property owners a year could find themselves in a situation like that of John Getz of Glen Burnie.
