BALTIMORE - When Van Reiner first walked past a protoceratops dinosaur model on display at the Maryland Science Center, he noticed something different - the dinosaur's eyes seemed to follow him.

Upon closer inspection, the dinosaur model could wag its tail, nod its head and omit a menacing roar.
