Summary


BOYS BASKETBALL GGB TERPS: The GGB Terps 12-under team went to undefeated 10-0 and won the Select Jim Dillon League with a 55-53 victory over MAYS. Gregory Rich added 18 points, 11 assists and six steals. Kevin Clark had 10 points and 12 rebounds. C.J. Rice and Brandon Kendrick added seven points each. Matt Gierl added five points including a three-pointer. Nick Phillips scored four points and graed eight boards. Andrew Peifer and Andrew Bishop netted two points each. Chris Dunn and Jason Clements combined for seven steals and five assists while leading the Terps (21-2) to their 12th consecutive victory. The Terps also defeated Severna Park behind a game-high 10 points from Clark. Gierl scored nine points and Bishop netted seven points. Peifer, Dunn and Rice added six each. Kendrick pitched in five. BUCCANEERS: The Bucs beat Slade, 40-22, and won the 12-under County basketball title. Brian Petroski pulled in 12 rebounds and scored eight. Tim O'Malley added seven points and seven rebounds. Donavan Lange and John Brisentine combined for 12 points and nine steals. Chris Beiderman scored four and Glenn Davis added eight points and four steals as the Bucs improved to 9-1 in the county. Petroski scored 17 points and nine rebounds when the Bucs beat the Blue Magic 37-31. Beiderman scored eight, O'Malley added four and Kyle Bush, Brisentine and Chad Melton combined for four points and six rebounds while Davis and Lange each contributed four points and two steals as the Bucs improved their record 8-1. The Buc's beat Brooklyn Park for the second straight time 36-29 with Beiderman and Petroski each scoring 10. Davis added six, Lange put in four and O'Malley added four points and seven rebounds. Bush had three steals and rebounds. Brisentine contributed eight boards and Melton scored two points and two rebounds to improve the Bucs record to 7-1.

BUCCANEERS BLUE: The Buccaneers Blue 10-and-under boys basketball team ended its season with a victory over the GGB Terps. Joey Orbitz had eight second-quarter points (13 total) to wipe out an early seven-point deficit and Robert Engel (seven points) put in the go ahead lay-up to finish the score at 31-30. Leading the Bucs were Shane Degreenia, Brandon O'Malley and Kody Herd. Top rebounders for the Bucs were Taylor Smith, Justin Daniels and Herd.
