We have yet another great week on tap for music. As the summer winds down, we are more apt to think once again about attending indoor concerts, which are plentiful in this area. Plus, this is also the season for new releases in anticipation of the holidays, which makes it a great time to be a music lover.

The always popular, prolific and cerebral Chris Smither plays Rams Head On Stage tonight (7 p.m.). Smither is an incredible folk blues guitarist in the tradition of Mississippi John Hurt and Lightning Hopkins. His signature blue guitar and amplified toe tapping are as familiar to fans as his song "Love You Like a Man," which has been recorded by Bonnie Raitt and Diana Krall (re-titled "Love Me Like a Man").
