Summary


Marking the days and tearing them from the calendar, each month arouses certain emotions, specific thoughts and feelings that correlate with particular days of the week.

December is tied to Christmas with unbreakable bonds. Halloween and October seem attached at the metaphorical hip. November always ends up as a countdown to Thanksgiving. And February, well, February promotes a fascination with love, hearts, flowers and all things flamboyant. But shouldn't February remind us of black history, the struggle of the African American to break free from the harsh restraints of slavery and oppression, a reminder of the strength of the human spirit when confronted with prejudice?
