Summary


A Bethesda company is set to launch a 270- acre office and residential development next to Arundel Mills mall this summer, a plan county officials say will further spur the local economy by creating new jobs.

Bethesda-based Somerset Construction Co., which owns the land, has partnered with three companies to create Arundel Preserve. The mixed-use Hanover development will include nearly 1,000 homes, 300,000 square feet of retail space and 2 million square feet of office space, said Mike Caruthers, company president.
