Groups Set for Stream Cleanups

As spring slowly arrives, environmental groups are rallying to coax volunteers out of hibernation and into Save-the-Bay mode.

The annual season of restoration projects kicks off today, with a series of stream cleanups throughout Maryland. Nonprofit and government groups will then work steadily through the warm months, planting trees, raising oysters, testing water quality and picking up trash.
