The Kuethe Library will celebrate its 75th anniversary with an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. tomorrow. The library is located at 5 Crain Highway S.E.

The community is invited to attend the open house to learn about the historical and genealogical resources available, tour the library and view displays about the library and local history.

Glen Burnie West: Library Celebrates Its 75-Year History

Refreshments will be served.

The Keuthe Library opened in 1932 as a community library staffed by volunteers. The red brick building was donated to the community by William and Rose Kuethe. It later became part of the county library system for a period of time and now serves at the home for the Historical and Genealogical Research Center.

Jointly operated by the Ann Arrundell County Historical Society and the Anne Arundel Genealogical Society, the library collection contains more than 4,000 volumes, including manuscripts, maps, photographs, genealogical, biographical and subject files, microfilm and fiche materials.
