Summary


A huge first quarter, paced by sophomore guard Jessica Regans' eight points and senior guard Omara Parker's six points was enough for Annapolis to hold off a valiant Glen Burnie charge and the Panthers took home a 51-43 victory in the opening round of the Cap City Classic held at Annapolis High School.

Annapolis will square off against Chesapeake (3-3), a 56-46 winner over Northern, in the finals at 5 p.m. today.

Parker led all scorers with 16 points, while Regans followed close behind with 14. Senior forward Tymirra Richardson was next highest with eight points. Junior forward Sierra Hill pulled down 11 rebounds, while Richardson was credited with six rebounds to go along with Parker's six.
