Two days after Marley Middle School Principal Susan Cassidy talked to students about what to do if someone tried to kidnap them, an 11-year-old girl followed those instructions when a Glen Burnie man allegedly tried to abduct her Thursday afternoon.
According to county police, the Marley Middle School student was walking along Wendover Road about 3:15 p.m. when she passed a van occupied by 68-year-old Richard Daniel Bassett.
