Elementary School Hopes to Turn Clothes to Cash

Summary


The Riviera Beach Elementary School PTA, 8515 Jenkins Road, will sponsor a clothing drive from 5 to 7 p.m. March 26, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 27, from 8 to 10 a.m. March 30. The drive will help raise money for the school to purchase classroom equipment.

The PTA will receive 10 cents for each pound of clothes collected. Clothes must be clean, dry and usable. They will also accept handbags, belts, briefcases, shoes, baby accessories, gloves, hats, backpacks, ties, scarves, blankets, table clothes, drapery, pillows, small rugs, comforters, fabric kitchen and bath accessories, bed sheets, curtains, towels, quilts, stuffed animals, dolls, action figures, cars, trucks, airplanes, doll houses and dolls.

All items must be placed in a plastic bag and tied at the top.

Hard toys must be able to fit in a 24-by-24 inch box.
