Mr. Baker died Dec. 14 at his home. The cause of death was not available.
He was born Feb. 1, 1934, in Maryland and lived in Glen Burnie for 39 years.Mr. Baker was a registered land surveyor. He worked in the engineering field for 24 years and retired in 1996.He served in the Navy from 1954 to 1958.Mr. Baker was a member of the Royal GTOs Car Club, the Maryland Society of Surveyors and the Pontiac-Oakland Club.He enjoyed cars and bluegrass music and was a NASCAR fan.He was preceded in death by his parents, William Baker and Mary Martin Baker.Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Henrietta C. Baker; two sons, James Fischer and Brian Baker of Glen Burnie; three daughters, Sandra Brady of Crofton, Lynda Gearhart of Severna Park and Cheryl Wright of Severn; one brother, Ballard Baker of West Virginia; four sisters, Betty Fowler of Clinton, Sue Hart of Westminster, Shirley Dustin of Middletown and Linda Reese of Olney; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.Interment will be in Glen Haven Memorial Park.Memorial contributions may be made to the Joseph Richey Hospice, 828 N.
