Fake $100 bills used in a Glen Burnie Target in August are part of a larger East Coast counterfeit money scam that is hitting Baltimore area retailers hard, the Secret Service said this week.

Todd Kreisher, special agent in charge of the agency's Baltimore field office, said the fake $100 bills are showing up in retail stores across the region.
