SEVERNA PARK SAFETY COURSE: Friends of Anne Arundel Trails will present a three-part Maryland Basic Boating Safety Course at Earleigh Heights Volunteer Fire Company on July 18, 22 and 25 (7-10 p.m.). Participants must attend all three sessions to receive certification under the Maryland Boating Safety Education Act. The course fee is $20 and pre-registration is required in person at the B&A Trail Park Office, 51 W. Earleight Heights Road. Call 410-222- 6244 for details.
HILLSMERE SAFETY COURSE: The Coast Guard Auxiliary is conducting a Maryland Boating Safety course during the evenings of July 14, 18, 21, 25 and 26 at the Hillsmere/Eastport Library, 269 Hillsmere Drive. Successful completion of the course and the final examination qualifies for the Maryland boating safety certificate. The fee is $20. Students need to be at least 10 years of age and older. There will be four evenings of classes from 7-8:45 p.m. and one evening session for the final exam.
