It's not often that you stride to the plate with a 4-1 lead in a hitless game, but that's where Broadneck pitcher Eric Behringer found himself in the top of the fourth inning Wednesday in Glen Burnie.

With two on and nobody out after a pair of walks, the junior ripped Cianan McCloskey's pitch down the left-field line, scoring Matt Hardie and Mike Marino. The Bruins added another two runs in the inning for an 8-1 lead that withstood a big Gophers rally for a 9-7 win on the road.
