According to its founder, the only Bonfire Society in North America is right here in Linthicum. It is affiliated with the Hasting Borough Bonfire Society in Sussex, England, and its purpose is for Conrad Bladey and friends to celebrate Guy Fawkes Day on Nov. 5. It's something they've done for the past 26 years.
