In the early days of the Performing Arts Association of Linthicum, the fledgling group took the old adage "the show must go on" to heart.

Like in 1983 when then-president Eloise Vaughan's husband had to drive the Edinburgh Quartet to Linthicum with a cello strapped atop his Volkswagen - and then put the musicians up for the night at their house before the next day's show.
