Glen Burnie West: Club Seeks Help with New Playground
The Glen Burnie Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club is seeking local volunteers to help build a new playground at the facility, 511 Crain Highway S.E. The volunteers will join Home Depot volunteers to help build a 2,000-square-foot KaBoom playground project on Nov. 7. When completed, the new playground will cost approximately $55,000.

Jessup-Severn: Knights Sponsor Annual Youth Soccer Shoot Out
Boys and girls ages 6 through 18 are invited to participate in the Youth Soccer Shoot Out (Shoot / Kick / Throw) sponsored by Father Bernard Harding Council 12180 of the Knights of Columbus. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Provinces fields, located off of Disney Road in Severn. There will be competition in age divisions for under 6, 7 and 8, 9 and 10, 11 and 12, 13 and 14 and 15 through 18 for boys and girls. All contestants will be recognized for their participation.
